Sami Kallio and JakobThau are two designer who in a very short period of time have created a lot of attention for their work and design. Their uncomplicated yet thorough design is as aestethic as comfortable.

Their backgrounds as cabinetmakers, knowledge and their love for the Scandinavian furniture tradition units them in their design work. They always work with full scale models in wood and the process from idea to finished model is therefor both exciting and very quick.

The NORDIC series came from the ambition of uniting classic craftsmanship with modern techniques in the spirit of Gemla. Soft curves of steam bent wood meeting a modern expression with distinct lines and clever construction. NORDIC was given its name by our Scandinavian origins, Finland, Denmark and Sweden.
