NORDIC is made of solid ash from European certified forestry, with wooden seat or additional upholstered seat of Hairlok and wool.
The rear legs are carufully joint into the solid bent backrest, creating a unique craft detail as well as ensuring highest durability over time.

The clever design allows the NORDIC stack up to 6 chairs. The optional armrest also gives a function of hanging onto table tops.

NORDIC is offered in various color combinations with possibilities of bespoke colors for projects.

BERN is one of the early classics by Gemla Fabriker. The folding chair was launched with great success at the World Exhibition in Stockholm 1930. BERN was designed by Swedish architect Uno Åhrén after a patented folding construction of C.A.Buffington.

The folding chair BERN is thanks to it's ingenious design as stable and comfortable as a regular chair. In folded position the chair is very compact, only 3 cm thin. This makes BERN to be a good alternative to the traditional stackable chair.
The strong laminated beech and steel makes BERN very suitable for environments of hard ware.

BERN is offered in different color combinations and with or without upholstered seat.

BERN can be complemented with wooden wall hooks for 2 or 4 chairs, and a steel trolley carrying 12 chairs.

KÄLLA is a soft and comfortable chair for the environment which requires a little extra. Designed by Jonas Bohlin 2016 as a contemporary version of the traditional Klismos chair.

KÄLLA is made in solid bent wood and a generous upholstery of finest horse hair and certified wool. KÄLLA is offered in vegetable tanned leather or textile. Treated with oil or lacquer in different colors.

Designed by Peter Celsing 1958 for the Restaurant Operakällaren in Stockholm. Ever since the chair has furnished interiors all around the world and is today one of the most appreciated Gemla-classics.

CATTELIN is one of Gemla's most classic and robust chairs, designed by Axel Kandell 1948 for restaurant Cattelin in Stockholm.

It's solid bent contruction makes CATTELIN almost indestructible, and is by that reason one of the most popular chairs of all time. The story tells that the designer threw the chair through the window from the third floor, to prove it's strength. The chair didn't break.

CATTELIN is made of solid beech, with soft seat upholstered with horse hair and certified wool.

GRACELL is a light and elegant dining chair, made in European beech and vegetable tanned leather.
Despite it's low weight GRACELL is yet both durable and comfortable.

GRACELL was designed 1956 by Yngve Ekström, one of the most appreciated designers of the time.
The chair was designed with inpiration from the classic italian Chiavari chair, but with a clear resemblance to the Gemla bentwood chairs.
It instantly became a huge success, and was sold until mid 1960's.

The chair was re-launched to the Gemla collection 2018, now with hand sewn seat of vegetable tanned tooling leather.
